Adimali is a fast developing town and is considered as the gateway to Munnar, the most famous hill station of Kerala.The Adimaly waterfall is a visual treat within the town, especially in the monsoons.The Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls are located nearby. Adimali is located in the National Highway connecting to Kochi. Adimali area was once known as Mannamkandam which means the land of the tribals called Mannan. Other tribals known as Muthuvan are also living in Adimali. During earlier days the main cultivation was paddy before pepper and cardamom.
Now these paddy fields have changed as residential areas. Another attraction in Adimali is the Waterfalls. Adimali waterfalls is on the Korangatty hills. which is situated one kilometer far from the Adimali town.
