Kerala has numerous big and small waterfalls which are quite beautiful to the visitors. Some of the most attractive Waterfalls In Kerala are Athirapally Waterfalls, Vazhachal Waterfalls, Soochipara Waterfalls, Thusharagiri Waterfalls, Palaruvi Waterfalls, Thommankuthu, Cheeyappara Waterfalls, Chethalayam Waterfalls etc.

Athirapally and Vazhachal waterfalls are situated in Thrissur District of Kerala state. These waterfalls are on the border of Sholayar rain forests. Here water falls from an height of 300 meters above sea level. Athirapally and Vazhachal waterfalls are the major Waterfalls In Kerala and is visited by several tourists every year.

Perunthenaruvi waterfalls literally means the great honey stream. The waterfall is located 15 km from Pathanamthitta city and is a famous holiday destination. The waterfalls are renowned for the wide span of area the water covers, and not the height. The stream later unites with the River Pamba.

Thommankuthu is located 20 kms from Thodupuzha in Idukki district of Kerala state. Thommankuthu is a small and beautiful, wild waterfall. Thommankuthu Waterfalls is a wonderful landscape of nature which is situated 74 kms from Cochin. Bus services are easily available to Thommankuthu. This place is ideal spot for nature-lovers and it attracts numerous tourists every year. This wild beauty of waterfall will steal the heart of any traveler.

Palaruvi Waterfalls is situated in Thenmala in Quilon district of Kerala state. The word Palaruvi means ‘a stream of milk’. And it is quite meaningful to this waterfall, because this waterfall looks like a stream of milk flowing from 299 ft. The waterfall is also referred as white horse tail because it narrows on the top and widens on the bottom like a horse tail. The waterfall has formed a small pool at the bottom of the waterfall. Ruins of ancient temples can be seen in Palaruvi. The water is believed to be medicated as it flows down from the forest and is said that it is preventive medicine for many diseases.

Thusharagiri Waterfalls is one of the major waterfalls in Kerala. Nestled snugly in the Western Ghats are the gurgling waterfalls of Thusharagiri. Thusharagiri literally means the snow capped mountains. Thushargiri waterfalls display an exceptional relationship between the land, the lush greens and water.
